So here are a few pictures from our trip!!
Kaytlin and Syd did a great job burying Mike!!

The Week at Park View Elementary

Wow.. what a week it has been!! It seems we have spent the whole week at the school! With Mon being my School Community Council meeting, Wed being Kyler's Cowboy poetry night and Thurs being Kaytlin's wax museum.

So for the Cowboy Poetry.. when we got there one of Kyler's friends was playin his guitar around a little campfire they had made out of paper.

Then each of the kids wrote a poem. They could choose what type of poem they were going to share and Kyler chose the I Wish.. Poem and it went like this....

I had to laugh as a Mother I thought HMMM.. Poor kid doesnt have anything!! I guess I have some ideas for his birthday next week!!

Next was the big Wax Museum!!! For this project they have to choose an American Hero and research it, write a report and then they dress like them and give a speech. Kaytlin turned in all of her 5 top choices and all of them were chosen before her. SO we got to find one ourselves and she chose Christa McAullife and did a great job!! Her little speech went like this..
" Hi my name is Christa McAullife. I was born on Sept 2nd 1948 in Boston, Mass. I died on Jan 28th 1986 in the Challenger explosion. I married Steven J McAullife and had 2 children, I lived to be 37 yrs old"

She got really good at it as the parents and students came through to listen. She thinks she said it at least 50 times!!
And that is our week in a nutshell... Glad its Friday!!!

Quick Update

Well where has Febuary gone?? We have had so much going on this month!! To start the month off we had our Relay for Life Kickoff!! If you dont know what Relay for Life is I strongly encourage you to go on the American Cancer Society website and check it out. You wont be dissapointed!!

The same night Kyler tried out for an accelerated baseball team and made it!! He will be playing for the South Utah County Power!! He is way excited and we are all in shock of how well he is doing for only playing T-ball before, Way to go Kyler!!

Next up is Kaytlins Wax museum in March. She has chosen to be Christa McAuliffe, who was the 1st school teacher who died in the Challenger. She has had alot of fun doing the research on her. Also soming up is Kyler's Flat Kyler (aka Flat malcom) project. So we are anxiously awaiting pictures from Grandma and Grandpa in Cambodia.

And.. My parents have been gone almost a MONTH!! Only 17 more to go!!(whos counting?) It some ways it seems soooo long and others it seems like that cant be possible already!! They are doing wonderful things for the people in Cambodia and we are so PROUD of them!!

Arent they so cute??? We love you and miss you Mom and Dad!! Keep up the good work!!

Sunday's at my parents house

We always get together on Sunday evenings and have dessert. I love that my kids get to see their cousins so much and be good friends with them as well. As you can only imagine it is usually a party, with all 26 of us and a couple of good family friends, it makes for a LOUD group!! And I LOVE IT!! So I thought I would post just a few pictures as to what goes on Sundays at the Houser House!
First off Jax was being the photographer, He thinks he takes great pictures, we will let him KEEP THINKING!!

A WHOLE LOT OF THIS!

...AND NEVER ENDING AMOUNTS OF THIS!!!

THE KIDS WENT OUTSIDE AND SHOVELED ALL THE SNOW INTO PATHS. IT WAS THEIR OWN VERSION OF GOBLIN VALLEY!!

AS YOU CAN SEE THERE IS NEVER A DULL MOMENT WITH ALL OF US, THAT IS WHAT I AM GOING TO MISS THE MOST!!

Hazardous January

<
So January has been quite an eventful month for us. Starting off on Jan 1 I took a graceful fall while taking Christmas lights off my fence and injured my tailbone pretty bad. So while I was home "recovering" Jaxton was very concerned about my Butt hurting. Everywhere we would go he would say: "Moms butt hurt"!!

So as I was starting to feel a little bit better, I decided I could ride Kaytlin's electric scooter home from my friends down the street!!Which I probably looked alot like this!!

WELL, what was I thinking?? As I started down the driveway I was pushing the throttle and "BAM" all of a sudden I was being launched over the handle bars!!!

I cant decide if it wasnt charged all the way or I (being the cautious driver I am) was using the brake!! So as I was sprawled on my neighbors driveway I noticed my only injury was a cut Knee!! THANK GOODNESS, my tailbone was safe!! So now Jax is concerend with my BUTT and my KNEE!! What a funny boy he is!! Needless to say I am keeping 2 feet on the ground at all times and hoping this isnt a sign of what is to come for 2010!!
